Light marking system for objects
The system of light marking of objects is designed to control obstruction lights indicating high-rise and extended structures (pipes, masts, power lines, etc.), as well as other objects that pose a threat to the safety of air, land and sea transport.
The system includes explosion-proof products and is designed for installation in gas- and dust-hazardous areas. Non-explosion-proof and seismic-resistant versions are also available.

To ensure the safety of air traffic at night and in conditions of poor visibility, certain requirements are established for the light marking (fencing) of objects and structures, such as buildings, pipes, masts, cooling towers, drilling rigs, etc.
Objects are marked using obstacle lights at a height equal to and/or greater than 45 meters above ground level, with varying light intensity and either constant or flashing. These lights must comply with the requirements of REGA RF-94, international ICAO standards, and the Interstate Aviation Committee.
To control the obstruction lights, a control system for light marking of objects (CLMO) is used.
The GORELTEX plant has developed a control system for light marking of explosion-proof objects for installation in gas- and dust-hazardous zones, in accordance with explosion-proof marking GOST 30852.13-2002 (IEC 60079-14:1996), which regulates the use of electrical equipment in explosion-hazardous zones of hazardous industrial facilities of hazard classes I, II, III, and IV, supervised by Rostekhnadzor of the Russian Federation and national technical supervision agencies of the CIS countries.
Functions of the control system
- Light marking and fencing of high-rise and long-distance objects;
- Control of system operating modes:
- Manual - start the system in manual mode;
- Automatic - via light sensor;
- Remote - the system's operation is controlled by the operator from the control panel;
- Monitoring the condition and presence of errors in the operation of obstruction lights;
- Visual display of an error on the front panel of the cabinet in the event of failure of elements of the light marking system and transmission of this information to the control panel;
- Remote activation of obstruction lights;
- Transfer of telemetry to the upper level of the automated control system (potential-free contacts);
- Distribution of the operating time of obstruction lights in order to increase their service life (alternating operation of lamps in double obstruction lights);
- Ensuring synchronicity of flashing of obstacle lights;
- Fine-tuning of the flashing mode system via the WEB interface;
- At the customer’s request, the system can be equipped with an automatic backup power supply (APS);
- System overvoltage protection system (if necessary);
- The power supply of each lamp of the obstruction lights can be equipped with a device for protection against current leakage and short circuit, which allows, in case of partial damage to cables and equipment, to provide a light fence until repair work is carried out;
- Supported interfaces and protocols: IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet), IEEE 802.3u (Fast Ethernet), HTTP (WEB), SNTP, Modbus-TCP, RS-485, Modbus RTU.
