Fitting joints series RZG (EZS)

Horizontal partition fitting joints (RZG) with encapsulation (PG-COMPOUND) are used in electrical pipe systems. They ensure explosion-proof connection of Ex d enclosures: distribution boxes, boards, control cabinets, light fixtures. They prevent ingress of explosive gases, vapors or fire from one part of Ex d pipe section or Ex d enclosure to the other one.

To ensure explosion protection, fittings shall be potted with sealing compound. The connection area of RZG with entries of Ex d enclosures shall be filled with fire retardant fiberglass in order to prevent leakage of compound before it cures.

The encapsulated partition fitting shall be installed as closer to bodies of Ex d enclosures as possible.

Scope of application – outdoor and indoor hazardous areas as per explosion protection marking - category II for gas subgroup IIA, IIB, IIC, zones 1, 2 non-hazardous with dust and gas.
