PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

High performance characteristics of the explosion-proof infrared sensor panels KKG-SP are achieved by the absence of any films for the positioning of impact on the work surface. Invisible positioning grid formed by many infrared rays will accurately and explicitly identify touch points. The panel is controlled by any object with thickness more than 4 millimeters. Special microcontroller promptly processes positioning data and sends it directly to the input port, such as: explosion-proof computer, explosion-proof multimedia screen, explosion-proof terminal, or an IT device as per customer’s diagram. The panel is connected via a special intrinsically safety barrier (included in the scope of supply).

Infrared technology of explosion-proof sensor panels KKG-SP:
When the panel is touched, optical interruption of the invisible horizontal and vertical infrared rays formed by two arrays of miniature infrared LEDs occurs. An array of photodetectors is located opposite each array of infrared LEDs.

Advantages of explosion-proof infrared sensor panels KKG-SP:

  • High reliability.
  • All components (arrays of LEDs and photodiodes) are arranged in the panel’s frame.
  • As opposed to the resistive and capacitive technology, infrared solar panels do not use fragile half-transparent sensitive evaporation coating.
  • Scratches, contamination and even cracks do not impact the performance of the sensor panel.
  • The panels do not require calibration. Stability of the calibration is based on 100% digital method of the positioning.
  • The panels can be operated by any non-transparent object: a hand, a pencil, a hand in a glove.
  • Good-quality image. Conductive positioning grids and films which can impact image quality are not applied in KKG-SP panels.
  • Panels can operate at sub-zero temperatures to -40°C.

Scope of application – indoor and outdoor hazardous areas in accordance with the explosion protection marking, GOST 30852.13-2002 (IEC 60079-14:1996), dangerous production facilities of I, II, III, IV hazard classes under supervision of Rostekhnadzor and national supervisory bodies of the CU and the CIS countries.
