PPG series explosion-proof Ex d rotary switches 63A, 80A

PPG series explosion-proof rotary switches are intended for electrical circuits switching in hazardous areas: at fixed installations and on land and maritime transport.

PPG series switches (63A, 80A) are used for the operation in electrical circuits up to 690V AC and up to 48V DC at various industrial facilities in hazardous areas. Rotary switches are available with current up to 80A with 1-2 poles.

Application of Ex d enclosure ensures explosion protection of the rotary switch in case of heavy-current short-circuit through an arc. Electromechanical switching apparatuses are arranged inside PPG explosion-proof enclosures with longer creepage distances on surfaces of insulation parts and gaps between bare current-conducting parts of different potential. Specially selected switching apparatuses with insulating materials of higher quality are used to increase the reliability of the rotary switch.

Scope of application - hazardous indoor and outdoor areas in accordance with explosion protection marking - category II for gas subgroups IIA, IIB, IIC, zones 1, 2, category III for dust IIIA, IIIB, IIIC, zones 21, 22, zones non-hazardous with dust and gas, as well as facilities supervised by the Russian Maritime Register for Shipping.
