Explosion-proof boxes for connection of heating accessories under heat insulation GTG-VK1 (SA-CORD)

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

GTG-VK1 is an effective solution from "ZAVOD GORELTEX" Co. Ltd. for connection and input of cables of electric heating systems under hear insulation which simplifies installation and excludes damage to heating cable during its input under heat insulation, as well as it splices ends of the heating cable for T-shaped branches. GTG-VK1 are applied for all types of GTG heating accessories and cables of third party manufacturers. The box shall be fastened to the pipe with two metal fastening clamps which ensure reliability of the grounding circuit between the pipe and the enclosure.

Design of OKT-1 supporting brackets enables convenient mounting on the pipe with round cross-section. The box allows for connection of one element of GTG heating accessories. For simultaneous connection of two elements of heating accessories, it is required to use /2K version of the device (two input devices and one device for two cables). Arrangement of terminal blocks inside the box can be amended upon customer’s request to simplify installation. The boxes are manufactured with various height H of supporting bracket OKT-1 lower than the insulation thickness which ensures sealing of heat insulation and excludes risk of damage to cable at termination points. Mechanical strength of GTG-VK1 considerably outperforms standard direct entry sealed termination units DESTU made of polyester which allows its operation up to -75°С (high quality units DESTU up to -40°С, low cost units only -20°С). Installation of flat heating cables of 17 mm width is possible.

Scope of application – outdoor and indoor hazardous areas as per explosion protection marking, GOST 30852.13-2002 (IEC 60079-14:1996), for use in presence of combustible dust, as per GOST IEC 61241-3-2011, dangerous production facilities of I, II, III, IV hazard class supervised by Rostechnadzor and national technical supervision bodies of the Customs Union and CIS countries.
