Explosion-proof extension cord RGM-U, RGS-U (PY-EXT) with reelPURPOSE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

Explosion-proof extension cord RGM-U is a portable device which is intended for power transmission to consumers of electrical power at various industrial facilities. The cord is used for connection of portable equipment: portable lamps, measuring devices, storage batteries, pumps, fans, air blowers, compressors, generators and other non-stationary and portable devices with ampere capacity not exceeding 16/32 A.

OPERATIONAL FEATURES:
- Sockets for different voltage values have color identification.
- Sizes of sockets change depending of the rated current values.
- For switching, it is required to put the plug into the socket and turn it to 45° clockwise, and this will lead to closing of internal switch and energizing.

- The plug may be extracted only after its turning to 45° counterclockwise which automatically leads to plug de-energizing.

DESIGN:
- Frame with two types of support (option of installation on wheels frame).
- Rotating drum with built-in RGM explosion-proof sockets.
- Locking mechanism for prevention of motion of the reel with cable.
- 100 m long cable with fastened VGM explosion-proof plug.
- Explosion-proof junction box of KSRV or KKVA type, depending on the version.
- Sockets have self-cleaning calibrated contacts.

Scope of application – outdoor and indoor hazardous areas as per explosion protection marking - category II for gas subgroup IIA, IIB, IIC, zones 1, 2, category III for dust IIIA, IIIB, IIIC, zones 21, 22, zones non-hazardous with gas or dust.
